Fine Art Prints
The Paper
Hahnemühle Photo Rag® is one of the world's most popular papers and the valued all-rounder for high-quality fine art printing. The white cotton artist's paper, with its characteristic, wonderfully soft feel, boasts a lightly defined felt structure, lending each artwork a three-dimensional appearance and impressive pictorial depth.
Combined with the matt premium inkjet coating, this paper produces outstanding prints that feature brilliant colours, deep blacks, striking contrasts and perfect reproduction of detail. This acid and lignin free classic meets the most exacting requirements for age resistance and is specially designed for fine art applications.
The Inks
Every print is produced using archival pigment inks — the gold standard for fine art reproduction. Unlike dye-based inks, pigment inks are highly resistant to UV light and environmental factors, ensuring your print remains vibrant and true to colour for well over 100 years when displayed and stored correctly. Each colour is precisely calibrated to faithfully reproduce the full tonal range of the original image, from the deepest shadows to the brightest highlights.
The Process
Our printing process is colour-managed from capture to output, faithfully reproducing the tones and detail of the original image. Each print is individually inspected before dispatch to ensure it meets our quality standards. We do not batch print — every order is produced fresh, specifically for you.
Each print will have a generous border of at least 15 mm to facilitate easy handling and framing.
The print you receive may look slightly different to what you saw on your screen — and in most cases, we believe it will be an improvement.
There are a few reasons for this. The images displayed in the online gallery are reduced in resolution so they load quickly and perform well across devices. This means you’re not seeing the full level of detail captured in the original photograph.
In addition, most screens are not colour calibrated and can vary significantly in how they display brightness, contrast, and colour. Factors such as device type, settings, and ambient light all influence how an image appears, often making it either more saturated or flatter than intended.
Each print is produced from a high-resolution, carefully prepared file, using a calibrated workflow designed to ensure accurate tones, depth, and detail.
The result is a print with greater clarity, richer tonal range, and a more refined overall presence than can be experienced on screen.

Packaging and Shipping
Prints are carefully rolled and shipped in a sturdy protective tube, ensuring they arrive in perfect condition. We take as much care with the packaging as we do with the printing.
Shipping within Australia is free via Australia Post. If you would like shipping outside Australia, please email us at adam@ftd.com.au for a quote. Because we are meticulous about the process, please allow four weeks for production and delivery of your fine art print.
Larger orders may take longer.
Display and Care
To preserve your print for generations, we recommend the following:
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight — UV light will fade any print over time, even archival ones
- Handle prints by the edges to avoid fingerprints on the surface
- Store unframed prints rolled in their tube or flat between acid-free tissue in a dry environment
- Frame behind UV-protective glass for the best long-term results
