Fan Dancer

This tiny Grey Fantail pauses on the weathered timber boards, its tail feathers spread into a remarkable display that immediately draws the eye. The contrast between the delicate feather structure and the rough texture of the timber creates a compelling visual balance, while the bird's low stance gives the image a sense of energy and anticipation. Captured at precisely the right moment, the display feels both theatrical and natural, revealing behaviour that can easily go unnoticed in the wild. The muted tones of the surroundings ensure that attention remains firmly focused on the intricate details of the bird itself, transforming a fleeting wildlife encounter into a study of character, form, and movement.

A delightful piece that brings a sense of life and personality to a room without overwhelming the space.
