Lanterns of Colour

Glowing in warm shades of amber and orange, the distinctive flowers of the Chinese Lantern plant appear suspended within a softly darkened setting. Their papery outer shells catch the light beautifully, revealing fine textures and delicate veins that might otherwise go unnoticed. The rounded forms seem to float within the frame, creating a composition that feels both natural and slightly abstract. Associated with the changing seasons, these lantern-like husks evoke warmth, transition, and the quiet beauty of autumn.

Rich colour and dramatic lighting combine to create an image with both intimacy and presence. This print brings warmth and seasonal character to interiors throughout the year.

Each print is produced using archival pigment inks on Hahnemühle Cotton Rag 308gsm, a premium fine art paper prized for its natural white tone, subtle texture, and exceptional longevity.
