Edge of Reflection

Looking along the length of Mirror Lake, the composition unfolds in layers, with the shoreline guiding the eye toward distant Southern Alps positioned along the right-hand edge of the frame. Above and across the water, a broad expanse of sky dominates, its cloud cover broken by soft patches of blue that ripple through the reflection below. The lake carries both sky and mountain together, blending structure and atmosphere into a shifting surface of light and movement.

Rather than perfect stillness, the scene offers a living reflection, shaped by wind, weather and time. A calm yet expansive composition that brings a sense of openness, balance and natural rhythm into any space.
