Signs and Portents

My first attempt at Astrophotography. Out at Lake Tyrrell in the dead of night, I set up the tripod and camera, lined up the Milky Way, opened the camera shutter for 20 seconds ... just as someone started their car in the carpark. At the time I was cursing their lack of consideration, but when I saw their taillights had illuminated the sign with a soft red glow, I was thankful for serendipitous mistakes.
