Wakatipu Grounded
At the edge of Lake Wakatipu, large sedimentary rocks and a grassy shoreline create a grounded foreground that leads the eye naturally out toward the vast expanse of water. Beyond, rolling hills sit quietly beneath a sky filled with layered grey cloud, softened by distant light and shifting atmosphere. The lake becomes a meeting point between solid form and open space, where stone, grass and water transition seamlessly into the wider landscape.
Unlike the distant, panoramic view, this perspective feels more intimate and tactile, inviting a closer connection with the land itself. A grounded yet expansive scene that balances texture, distance and mood in equal measure.
Each print is produced using archival pigment inks on Hahnemühle Cotton Rag 308gsm, a premium fine art paper prized for its natural white tone, subtle texture, and exceptional longevity. Cotton rag paper is acid-free and lignin-free, ensuring your print remains vibrant and true to colour for well over 100 years when displayed and stored correctly.
